Mabandod and things

'Mabandod and Things' is rustic and unrefined, taking inspiration from the artist's early childhood memories and her current home. Her belief in purposely not cleaning up the metal challenges common thoughts of 'shiny shiny' jewellery, illustrating that there is beauty in the unexpected. The containers are home to memories; snippets and fragments inside allow the wearer to glimpse a sense of the artist's experiences. In wearing the containers, the individual can add their own snippets and keep sakes, holding them close to the body as a reminder of something.
